Patented Technology

THAT TREATS THE TOUGHEST WATERS!

OVERVIEW
WHAT WE DO

Eau Midstream LLC provides environmentally safe and cost-effective wastewater management solutions to the oil and gas, mining and agriculture industries.

Our patented OXI-PEF technology is effective in removing organic and inorganic constituents from contaminated influent, reintroducing treated water back into the environment in near-closed-loop conditions, at levels suitable for agricultural reuse.

The modular design can easily be transported and customized to each site - scalable from temporary mobile installations to high volume customer demands.

The net result is a highly efficient treatment system that improves project economics, meets the concerns of regulators and the public whilst sustaining one of our most valuable natural resources.

COST SAVING BENEFITS

Producers benefit by eliminating their water waste product, converting it to a commodity which will change the feasibility of pending exploration and development projects:

Expected savings of up to 40%.

Far Less waste sent to deep wells, evaporation ponds and trucks.

Treated water can be reused on subsequent projects.

CASE STUDY

SAN JUAN BASIN

Eau Midstream demonstrated the capability of the OXI-PEF system to treat highly contaminated influent under extreme weather conditions.

The project highlights the economic benefits of eliminating wastewater, or at the very least, a product that is difficult to re-use; converting it to a commodity that can change the feasibility of pending projects.

The value extends beyond economic aspects. Our activities in the San Juan Basin have played a direct role in people's lives in these communities, benefiting from better management of water resources.

LEGISLATION

THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO'S PRODUCED WATER LEGISLATION.

The State of New Mexico is working on a new law – Bill 546, taking public comment at present – that will allow produced water to be treated and reused for other applications, including irrigating farmland or even being added back to municipal water supplies.

A PRODUCT WITH
REAL IMPACT

We think there are a number of compelling reasons why signing up with us makes economic sense and gives you the tools to meet regulatory and sustainability objectives.

CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY

Public perception of the hydraulic fracturing industry would benefit from the reduction in utilization of SWD wells and improved water resource management:

Ecologically stable water that can be reintroduced into the environment.

Often cleaner than it was prior to the start of operations.

An order of magnitude cleaner than alternatives used throughout the energy industry.

Conservation ties in with progressive corporate governance.

Eau Midstream commenced operation in the San Juan Basin in New Mexico, in December 2018 during one of the coldest spells ever in the region.

To our knowledge, other drilling companies had to shut down due to the inclement weather. The entire Eau Midstream crew demonstrated resolve and professionalism to stay active and treat the extreme variety of fluids the client was able to bring to Eau Resources.

During the initial four weeks of operations, a daily rate of 14,000 barrels of water treatment was achieved.

The process also achieved comparable results in recovering oil from flowback and production water as well as tank sludge previously intended for disposal. The OXI-PEF process was able to recover approximately 3000 bbls of oil in 4 days to sellable quality, while still processing the frac flowback water for reuse.

As opposed to hauling this oil/sludge to disposal for a very expensive treatment process to clean the oil, the separated, clean oil was drawn from the continuous process and placed into storage tanks for transfer.

OUTCOME

This project provided the customer with fully treated water from extremely contaminated influent content and adverse weather situations and provided Eau Midstream with verification of the OXI-PEF process being able to control scenarios well outside the capability of its competitors.

TECHNOLOGY

PATENT APPROVED

Patent for gas and oil well waste water treatment

A method for treating wastewater is disclosed. The method is useful in particular for treating wastewater that is generated from the process of drilling, hydraulic fracturing and/or cleaning a bore of an oil or natural gas well bore. The method may include performing cold lime softening of the wastewater to form waste salt flocs, filtration of waste salt flocs, ozonation of the filtrate from the filtration, and reverse osmosis of the filtrate to produce a purified permeate.

FRACKING

FRACKING WASTEWATER PROBLEM

The average frack job now consumes 13 million gallons (49 million liters), up 40 percent in two years, according to a Reuters analysis of Permian producer data.

While U.S. oil production has reached record levels on account of the shale revolution of the last decade, much of the supporting infrastructure has failed to keep up, including how to transport the large quantities of water used in the hydraulic fracturing process and the water that is produced from wells alongside oil and gas.
